Privacy policy

Privacy policy

The short version: you can use this entire site without an account, we don't build candidate profiles, and we don't sell anything about you. The long version is below.

In one paragraph

AiTechJobs does not require you to register, does not ask for your résumé, and does not create a profile about you. We count how many times each video is viewed using a random identifier that isn't linked to your identity. When you apply for a role, you leave our site and go to the employer's own application form — we never see what you submit there.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to AiTechJobs at aitechjobs.in. It covers visitors who browse and watch videos. It does not cover what an employer does with your information after you follow an apply link to their website — that is governed by their own privacy policy, which you should read before applying.

2. What we collect

Deliberately, very little:

  • Anonymous view counts. When you open a video page we record that the video was viewed, along with a randomly generated session identifier held in your browser for the length of that browsing session. It is not linked to your name, email, device fingerprint or any account, and it is discarded when you close the tab. We use it only so that refreshing a page doesn't count as ten views.
  • Standard server logs. Our hosting and database providers process technical request data, including IP address, as an unavoidable part of serving the site securely. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you.
  • Anything you choose to send us. If you email hello@aitechjobs.in, we hold that email and our reply so we can respond to you.

3. What we do not collect

We do not ask for or store: your name, résumé, phone number, work history, education, salary expectations, or any candidate profile. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking pixels. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with recruiters or data brokers, and we do not operate a candidate database that anyone could buy access to. There is nothing here to sell, which is the most reliable privacy guarantee we can offer.

4. Cookies and local storage

We set no advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores four small values in your browser, all of which stay on your device:

  • aitj-theme — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
  • atj-swipe-tutorial-seen — remembers that you've already seen the swipe walkthrough, so it isn't shown every visit.
  • atj-saved-roles — the roles you swiped right on. This is the only copy: saved roles never reach our servers, which is why they don't follow you to another device or browser.
  • atj-seen-roles — the roles you've already decided on, so the deck picks up where you left off instead of showing them again.

Clearing your browser storage removes all four. Nothing breaks if you do — you'll see the walkthrough again, and the deck will start from the top with an empty saved list.

5. Third parties involved in running the site

We keep this list short on purpose, and we'll update it here whenever it changes:

  • SupabaseDatabase and storage for the video catalogue and view counts.
  • CloudflareHosting and content delivery for the site itself.
  • Google FontsServes the typefaces. Your browser requests these files directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address.
  • YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode)Where a video is hosted on YouTube we embed it via youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set tracking cookies unless you play the video.

6. When you apply for a role

Apply buttons open the employer's own application page in a new tab. At that point you are on their website, subject to their privacy policy, and anything you submit goes to them. We do not receive a copy of your application, and we are not told whether you applied or what the outcome was.

7. How long we keep things

Anonymous view counts are kept as aggregate numbers for as long as a video is published, so employers can see how their listing performed. Session identifiers are short-lived and are not retained in a way that could be used to reconstruct one person's browsing. Emails you send us are kept while they're relevant to the conversation, and deleted on request.

8. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to ask what personal data of yours we hold, to have it corrected, to have it erased, and to raise a grievance about how we've handled it. Because we hold almost nothing that identifies you, most such requests will be answered with "we don't have any" — but you're entitled to ask, and we'll answer.

Email hello@aitechjobs.in with "Data request" in the subject line. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you aren't satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

This site is intended for people seeking professional employment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

When the site's data practices change, this page changes with them and the "last updated" date above moves. We don't make quiet changes — if we ever start collecting something meaningful, it will be stated here plainly rather than buried in a clause.

Questions about any of this? Email hello@aitechjobs.in. See also our terms of use.
